Well, they didn't care - but birthdays can be fun. It made it about them, right? Birthdays are good for giving people presents, indulging them. If we just said we were hanging out, it wouldn't have been like that! So it was an excuse, really.

We could have called it 'Inigo and Taiki Day'... but I think they would've died from embarrassment. [ Or close to it, anyway. Tidus looks up from his drifted off gaze, a remembered thought as he looks back at Jingyi. ]

But we had a projector! It's a machine that makes the space look like somewhere else! So we made the room we were using look like the top of a mountain, and then a field of flowers!
